Rage by Michelle Pace and Tammy Coons

Displaying Rage ECOVER.jpg

Synopsis:

Phillip Kersey finds himself and his hotheaded girlfriend, Stephanie, at a crossroads. He's the singer of the chart-topping rock band, Fury, and they're forever in the studio laying down tracks for their third album.
Steph's photography career has exploded. She's always on location and out of his grasp. Tired of Skype dates and stolen weekends, Phillip makes plans to whisk her off to Ireland so he can pop the question.
When Steph returns to the U.K. for the birth of their friends' baby, Phillip finally gets his chance. He's down on one knee when tragedy strikes. Aching hearts cause tempers to flair chaotically out of control. Phillip feels pushed aside and vanishes. Assumptions and accusations follow, and the public fallout between them becomes the stuff of legend.
When fate brings both Fury and Stephanie to a remote Brazilian paradise, the former lovers have no choice but to face each other head on. Will their wildfire chemistry burn down the wall between them, or will the tumultuous pair simply go up in flames?

My review-

***ARC received for honest review***

Set on the story of the love affair between Phillip and Stephanie Rage is a story that proves that communication is vital in a relationship.

At the beginning of the book all is happy, Stephanie has an amazing career photographing across the globe, she has an amazing boyfriend in rockstar Phillip and she has bought herself a few new digs in order to settle down- including settling down in London with her love.

Phillip the daft sod, although he loves Steph he doesnt even know what she wants, all he knows is he wants to own her- so he comes up with this idea to propose in front of everyone. He was given warning after warning not to do it, but he thought himself the big thing and there was no possible way she'd say no or hate his proposal.  But at that pivital moment tragedy strikes.

And with that the relationship is over. Things are publicised, mud is slinged....and its hard to come back from that

10 months later the two are brought together when DJ and Yara tie the knot in Brazil. Phillip is a guest and Steph is a photographer.

They havent really seen each other since ''it'' happened. Although there was a lot thrown around the media these two have never actually sat down and spoken about said tragedy and the break up.

Steph has moved on, shes feeling more stable than before, shes healthier than shes ever been and shes got a hot new man in agent Christopher- and although she doesnt love him like he loves her, she knows that hes a decent man who'll be there for her.

As for Phillip, he's never gotten over Stephanie all he did to try and get over a woman was to get on top of another.

This story covers mainly the wedding and these two lovers meeting up again.....

So read this book and see how it all turns out.......

Now I havent actually read book 1 in this series I was given information that book 1 was not needed to enjoy this story- I disagree.

Although it never took away from the story as such I felt like I had missed out on a lot of important information especially the way Phillip and Steph fell in love. There was the odd referral to book 1 which obviously I didnt get. And also book 1 covers Stephs best friends Chey and Scot falling in love- and with the drama these 2 create in book 2 I think I really need to go read book 1 to figure these 2 out.

This was a book just filled with secrets and angst......my nails are bitten down to nubs!

The fact that nobody talked to each other, there were so many secrets knocking around.

Stephanie grrrr that girl made me so mad. She was just so selfish. She hid this big secret and she is the reason that these 2 are apart, but she just wont tell the truth to Phillip.

There was some fantastic side characters in this book Scot, Chey, Nathan and my personal favourite Saffron.

Final thoughts were it was a good book, filled with back stories so if you want the full enjoyment you must read book 1. But still a very good story that will make you want to scream at your kindle one moment and then swoon the next.

4 stars- Although I may up that after I read book 1 :)
