Welcome to Sugartown by Carmen Jenner

One of my good reads this week was Welcome to Sugartown. Told in alternate POV's of both Ana and Elijah.

Way over in Australia in a small little town called Sugartown lives Ana Belle- a small town girl who works daily in her late Mums pie shop.

After her Mum passes away Ana takes over the shop, along with the help of her crackers best bud Holly figuring she just has to make the best of what she has as she aint never leaving Sugatown.

Her friend Holly- IE- Queen of the one liners! Laugh out funny at times!!

Ana- Sweet, funny and virginal (but has a wrongful reputation of being the town bike)

Ana's there with her Dad, her step dragon and her adorable little lisping brother Sammy, just plodding along living the small town life waiting for excitement to come to them....and hoooo does it!

Enter Elijah- Her Dads new mechanic.

Sexy tattoos
Riding a bike....
Bad past

Ana needs to know more..........

And so does Elijah!

He knows he shouldnt be crushing on his new boss' daughter but he just cant seem to help it.

He has to see her everyday, and he can do it without looking like a stalker by going across to the shop and eating her pie.

After a lot of teasing, and a practical joke Ana agrees to go on a date with Elijah.

After that first date things pick up pretty fast between them and their relationship, that is until Elijahs past starts to catch up with him.

And also until this author threw a massive curveball into the story.

I did not see that one coming!!

I wish I could go on and on about this story but it will ruin the plot twist.

But one thing I will say was it was very very well written!

Come the end of the book a few interesting new characters have been added to the story which I presume will be the centre of focus on book 2.

But this book does leave a lot of unanswered questions regarding Elijah and his past so although not a cliffy its not a complete story either.

I'm hoping it wont be too long a wait for book 2.

Overall this was a 4.5 star read for me :)
